A PDF document is a type of file that usually stands alone. It presents information in a standard format. In some cases, an individual may want to attach other forms of documents onto a PDF file. The type of files that can be attached to a PDF file include word documents, images, audio, other PDF files, and other different types of files. Likewise, there are times a user may want to extract an attached file.
There are several types of applications that can be used to extract an attachment from a PDF file. One such software is the PDF Multitool application. This software is a versatile application, which can be used for several other file processing activities.
A file attachment is simply a document or a file that can be embedded in another document or file. If a PDF file with an attachment is moved to a different location remotely, on another computer, or emailed to another user, the attachment automatically moves to the new location with the primary document. Typically, an attachment on a PDF file can be anything even a link. The type of attachment of a PDF file can be seen on most PDF viewers.
On the other hand, a PDF document is a type of document that is mostly used for professional use. It can be created and viewed using several types of applications. Once created, a PDF file is quite secure especially if embedded with the right security structure.
A user can use the PDF multitool to extract an attachment of a PDF file for free. However, this is only allowed when it is used for personal use. As for commercial purposes, a user must purchase a license to perform extraction processes in bulk.
Once the PDF Multitool document is installed on a computer, it can be launched to start the attachment extraction process.
The PDF with attachments can be uploaded onto the PDF Multitool application. The uploaded document is shown below.
From the image above, an option highlighted in red can be seen. This option is called ‘Attachments.’ By clicking this option, a window opens up and the attachment is seen as shown below.
From the picture above, it is seen that a document is attached to the PDF file. Next, the user can go ahead and close the window. On the right-hand corner of the application, an attachment sign can be seen.
To access the attachment(s) and save it on the file, you then click on the save option. Once clicked, the save file option comes up. Choosing the select folder option automatically saves the files on the folder chosen.
