Stream Visualizer

ByteScout Stream Visualizer for Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010/2012/2013/2015/2017 – is the FREE addon helping developers to display System.IO.Stream objects from any code when you are running or debugging.

 

Why developers need it?

Because it makes debugging bitmaps much easier by previewing bitmaps and image objects right in Debug mode by just moving the mouse cursor!

It is easy to use! Install and open Visual Studio with your project and run your project in Debug mode

Main program features

  1. To invoke ByteScout Stream visualizer hold the mouse cursor on a variable with a stream and click on the small magnifying icon in the debugger pop-up window.

2. After that, you will see the Stream Visualizer window:

REQUIREMENTS

  • The addon is compatible with Visual Studio 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017.

 

Troubleshooting:

If you are getting errors when installing the Stream Visualizer addon into Visual Studio, follow these steps:

  • 1. Check the folder “c:\Program Files\Bytescout Stream Visualizer\assemblies”.
  • 2. Look for the assembly BytescoutStreamVisualizer.dll for your Visual Studio version.
  • 3. Copy this DLL to “Documents\Visual Studio XXXX\Visualizers” folder, where XXXX is your Visual Studio version.
