New SDK Update from our Team: Improvements & Fixes

Here’s a new fresh update from ByteScout!

During these hard times, we are working even more to provide the best solutions for our customers. The update of the new product versions can be always found in your dashboard.

PDF Extractor SDK 11.2.0.3919

• ‘MultimediaExtractor’ now supports the extraction of 3D-animation objects.
• ‘TextExtractor.Find()’ now keeps original font names in found object information.
• Improved column detection in ColumnDetectionMode.Borders mode.
• ‘SearchablePDFMaker’ did not process vector-only pages. Fixed now.
• Improved regex text search in ‘TextExtractor’.
• We added new OCR preprocessing filters.
• Improved joining of multi-line cells in tables without borders (LineGroupingMode.JoinOrphanedRows mode).
• We improved the performance of ‘ImageExtractor’, ‘InfoExtractor’, and ‘OCRAnalyzer’.
• We fixed extraction issues in the .NET Core version.

Barcode Reader SDK 11.2.0.1987

(July 1, 2020)

• We added parsing of AAMVA metadata to PDF417 decoder. AAMVA is used in driver licenses and other identification cards.
• Valid sequences of Macro PDF417 barcodes are now decoded as a single barcode.
• Improved parsing and rendering of PDF documents.
• Other minor improvements and bugfixes.

Barcode SDK 6.2.0.1127

• Macro PDF417: Fixed macro-control block generation.
• We fixed losing of original image BPP (bits per pixel) when writing a barcode image to PDF document.
• Minor improvements and bugfixes.

Document Parser SDK 4.5.0.424

• We added new UI improvements in Template Editor.
• We improved ‘ocrImageFilters’ template option, ‘ocrWhiteList’, and ocrBlackList template options.
• Macros, date detection, PDF extraction, and rendering were greatly improved.
• Other minor bug fixes and improvements.

PDF Multitool 11.2.0.3919

• We improved the precision of coordinates and dimensions of selection rectangles when scaling.
• The PDF Viewer now correctly detects RTL text in the “Copy to Clipboard” context menu command.
• Parsing and rendering of PDF documents were improved.

PDF SDK 2.2.0.417

• We improved the support of 1-bit-per-pixel images.
• Suppressed exceptions on loading bad images from malformed/damaged PDF documents.
• The parsing of PDF documents was significantly improved.

• We improved the parsing of formulas and the handling of protected worksheets.
• We improved automatic page size when exporting to PDF.

Text Recognition SDK 1.8.0.239

• Added ‘Scale’ image preprocessing filter.
• Parsing and rendering of PDF documents were improved in new versions.

QR Code SDK 1.3.0.1128

• Minor improvements and bugfixes.

API Server

(June 20, 2020)

• PDF Extractor, PDF Renderer, Barcode Reader, Barcode Generator, Spreadsheet modules were updated to include the latest fixes.
• Updated endpoints: for /pdf/edit/add, email extractor, attachments extractor.
• New endpoints for Document Parser module with the online document parser.

PDF.co Web API (in the cloud) was also updated. Check HERE for more details.
