Bytescout PDF Extractor SDK

This new version 8.8.0.3015 appeared on January 22, 2018. Here are major performance improvements:

  • The following was fixed: OCR preprocessing filters were not applied if input document is an image;
  • PDF Multitool: image preprocessing filters were fixed in “Find Text” dialog;
  • TableDetector now provides detected cells information for ColumnDetectionMode.BorderedTables (see FoundTableCells property);
  • XMLExtractor: Added annotations extraction;
  • XMLExtractor: Object coordinates in XML are fractional now for better precision (were integer);
  • Improved support for encrypted PDF documents;
  • Improved formatting of extracted plain text (TextExtractor). Now columns look better.

Barcode Generator SDK

ByteScout new product version 4.63.0.971 was launched on January 22, 2018. The following changes were implemented:

  • Disabled “>” mark (quiet zone indicator) on EAN barcodes since it is optional;
  • Fixed rare crash on GS1 application identifiers.

Barcode Reader SDK

The new version 10.0.0.1754 appeared on January 22, 2018, includes the following changes:

  • Performance improvements;
  • Implemented decoding of DataMatrix ECC 0-140 barcodes;
  • Improved MicroQR barcodes decoding;
  • Improved DPM DataMatrix decoding;
  • Improved EAN and UPC barcodes decoding;
  • Fixed decoded text charset detection.

ByteScout PDF Multitool

This ByteScout version 8.8.0.3015 appeared on January 22, 2018. The following fixes were done:

A renovated version of ByteScout PDF SDK 1.8.0.234 appeared on January 22, 2018. It included the following changes:

  • Implemented tiled watermarks;
  • Improved support of encrypted documents;
  • Canvas.MeasureString() now correctly handles multi-line text;
  • Added more CreateImage*() helpers to ComHelpers class;
  • Fixed: Canvas.DrawString() was wrapping spaces from the previous line;
  • Fixed: Digital signature was skipped when saving a document to a stream.

ByteScout PDF To HTML SDK

ByteScout version 8.8.0.3015 for PDF to HTML SDK appeared on January 22, 2018. It includes the following changes:

  • Improved support for encrypted PDF documents;
  • Other minor fixes and improvements.

Spreadsheet SDK

A new version 2.9.5.1689 was ready on January 22, 2018, including the fixed bugs:

  • Improved export to PDF;
  • Added property Worksheet.PageSetup.FitToPage;
  • Added property Worksheet.PageSetup.PrintGridLines;
  • Added properties GridLinesColorEnabled and GridLineColor to Worksheet.ViewOptions.

ByteScout PDF Viewer SDK

Appeared on January 22, 2018, version #8.8.0.3015 includes the following improvements:

  • Support for encrypted PDF documents;
  • Improved PDF rendering.

Version 2.22.1038 appeared on December 07, 2017 mostly featuring minor bug fixes and improvements.
